September 26, 2008 10:43 AM - Volunteers with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 582 in Mississauga have organized a dinner and dance in support of the Canada's troops serving overseas.
The event, which takes place Nov. 1 at the hall on Hensall Circle, will raise funds for the Legion's Troop Morale Fund. The fund aims to buy each Canadian troop posted in Afghanistan a Tim Hortons coffee and a doughnut at least every two weeks.
At the dinner and dabce, the meal consists of a roast beef dinner.
The entertainment will be country artist Gary Hooper.
The bar starts serving at 6 p.m. Dinner is at 7 p.m.
The dancing runs until 1 a.m.
