August 20, 2008 05:34 PM - Mississauga’s Michelle Lee and Brogan McKinnon are first and second respectively in the girls division after three rounds of play at the Mizuno National Golf Championship at National Pines Golf Club in Innisfil.
Lee has a commanding six-stroke lead over McKinnon in the Canadian Junior Golf Association event that wraps up tomorrow.
Lee took advantage of second-round leader Alyssa Kwon’s round of 84 to move into first place in the Girls Division.
Lee has had rounds of 70, 80 and 74, for a three-round score of eight-over 224.
McKinnon, meanwhile, has shot rounds of 74-76-80, for a score of 230.
Alyssa Kwon of Richmond Hill, is third with a score of 231, immediately followed by Brianna Cooper of Kincardine (232) and Brittany Henderson of Smith Falls (233).
Other Mississaugans in the mix include Brittany Davidson and Hailey Ingleson, who are 10th and 11th respectively with scores of 245 and 246.
Three Mississaugans are also battling it out in the boys’ 13-and-under division.
While Samuel Hebert of St. Thomas leads with a three-round score of 227, Mississauga’s Paulino Fernando is fourth (241), followed by Ryan Borg, who is seventh (247) and Andrew Lewis, who is currently 10th (255).
