A subsidiary of D Mecatronics Inc. of Mississauga announced today that it has landed a $1.2 million contract to provide the latest in production assembly lines to Johnson Controls.
"This demonstrates the success of our full-service strategy and the confidence of our customers on the ability of D&R Technology to manufacture and deliver quality products," said Drasko Karanovic, president and chairman of the D. Mecatronics offshoot.
"In a hyper-competitive market place brimming with new choices in both existing and emerging segments, car manufacturers will be chasing customers more aggressively than ever," said D Mecatronics president and CEO Berardino Paolucci.
"They will be doing so with sharp new fuel-efficient, technology-laden vehicles reflecting the new reality of high fuel prices in particular," he added. "D Mecatronics intends to continue to be at the forefront and capitalize on this by offering state-of-the-art technological solutions by combining our experience with intense customer involvement to develop systems and processes that match the latest technology with customer manufacturing needs."
D Mecatronics Inc. is a major supplier of production lines which specializes in integrated seating and interior car systems. Its clients include Ford, General Motors (GM), Toyota, DaimlerChrysler, Nissan and Honda.
The company has its offices at 7669 Kimbel Street in Malton.
