Mississauga firefighters quickly extinguished a house fire at 1890 Burnhamthorpe Rd. tonight.
Police and fire were dispatched at around 9:45 p.m. When firefighters arrived, smoke was billowing from a bedroom window. They were able to use extinguishers from the window to douse a mattress that was reportedly on fire. Fire crews are still on scene this hour, monitoring the temperature and searching the house for other signs of damage.
