A Mississauga man is facing more than 20 charges after a forged credit card was used to obtain a hotel room and do banking in northern Ontario.
The RCMP arrested a man Tuesday, after an investigator with the TD Bank Financial Group in Wawatay, Ont. discovered the fraudulent credit card use at the North End hotel. Further investigation revealed that the card and other bogus credit cards were used for other purchases and to open up bank accounts.
Rizwan Khan, 36, is facing 21 counts of possession of forged credit cards, two counts of public mischief — providing a false identity to police and breach of probation.
