Feliciani will be at the Chapters across from Sherway Gardens on Friday from 1-4 p.m. She will also appear in the Coles at Cloverdale Mall on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
She moves on to the Coles at Square One on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. Her whirlwind weekend ends with a signing at the Coles at Erin Mills Town Centre on Sunday from 2-4 p.m.
In The Magic Leaf, a young boy named Carlo growing up in the small Italian town of Roseto during the early 19th century is responsible for bringing food and water to the townsfolk working on a nearby mountain. The physically-demanding task begins to take its toll on Carlo, who starts to lose interest in his job.
However, a friend gives him a special gift that promises to make his job much easier.
The book was her first and self-published.
"When you first approach it, publishing your own book can be an overwhelming experience," said Feliciani, an elementary school teacher with the Toronto Catholic District School Board. "But, if you break it down and take it step-by-step, one task at a time, it's not too hard."
