Eleven people, including nine border guards and two travellers, were sent to hospital Friday night after a spill of bug spray at Mississauga's Pearson International Airport.
Nine vials of concentrated insecticide were reportedly leaking inside a man’s checked baggage.
People who were exposed to the fumes complained they were having difficulty breathing and were experiencing a burning sensation in their eyes. No one was injured seriously and the guards were expected to be back at work on Saturday.
Police are investigating.
