A man carrying a bag full of cash escaped without injury this morning after he was robbed by two men in Malton.
Peel Regional Police say the victim was near a building at 6205 Airport Rd. just after 11:30 a.m. when he was accosted by two men.
They took the bag, which contained thousands of dollars and was to be deposited in a bank, and were last seen in a red Plymouth van heading eastbound on American Dr.
When the victim tried to get his bag back, police said, the culprits told him they were armed and threatened him.
The culprits are described as white, aged 25-30, with medium builds. One had a goatee and spoke with a Spanish accent.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 905-453-2121, ext. 3410.
