A man has been rushed to hospital in serious condition this evening after he was stabbed in an Erin Mills park.
Heavily-armed tactical officers with Peel Regional Police, along with the force's Canine Unit, responded to Arbour Green Park just before 10:15 p.m. after getting a 9-1-1 call from a man claiming to have been stabbed.
Police say the victim was stabbed twice in the chest and transported to hospital by Peel Paramedics in serious condition. His injuries aren't considered life-threatening.
Early indications are that it was an attempted robbery, police said.
Police have set up a perimeter in the area of Folkway Dr. and Treetop Cres. as they search for the assailants.
Police are looking for as many as five suspects, all described as male, white. The main culprit is 5-foot-10, with a medium build, blonde hair, wearing no shirt and dark shorts. He also had a large tattoo on his back, police said.
There is also a white vehicle at the scene that investigators believe is linked to the culprits.
