Now, investigators must find out who did it.
Earlier today, the force's Homicide Bureau released the autopsy results of Monday night's murder in Malton, revealing that Earle died of a gunshot wound to the face. The autopsy was concluded this morning.
Monday at 11:50 p.m., police received a call that shots had been fired at an apartment building at 7170 Darcel Ave., northwest of Derry Rd. E. and Hwy. 427 in Malton. When they arrived, they found Earle dead.
Peel Cst. Wayne Patterson said investigators are still piecing together a motive and while detectives have already spoken to several witnesses, they encourage anyone with relevant information to come forward.
Meanwhile, just a half an hour before the Malton murder, Peel police had received a call that shots had been fired at a house party on Woodsend Run in neighbouring Brampton, northeast of Mavis Rd. and Hwy. 407. Patterson said when police arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Glenford Asan Reid, 31, had no vital signs and was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, a 37-year-old Toronto man, had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
Patterson said the Brampton and Mississauga shootings aren't related.
