Lee saved the best round of the golf tournament for the final day, last Friday, when she carded a four-over-par 75. She finished with a three-round score of 240, three strokes better than Lauren Bowerman-Ritchie of Bowmanville and eight strokes ahead of Hannah Hellyer of Stirling, who placed third.
Lee, 16, shot one-over-par 37 on the front nine, before shooting a two-over 38 on the back nine.
Other Mississaugans fared well in various age groups at the Canadian Junior Golf Association event.
In the boys’ 14-16 division, Russell Bowie recorded the longest drive on his way to a 17th-place finish.
Fellow Mississaugans Kyle Sayani and Rahul Saggu didn’t hit their tee shots as far, but enjoyed better results, placing 10th and 12th, respectively.
Jamie Dodds of Union and Jordan Jackson of Toronto tied for first, with three-round scores of 231, while Sayani, Saggu and Bowie had scores of 250, 254 and 264.
Two Mississaugans finished among the leaders in the boys’ 13-under division.
Ryan Borg and Paulino Fernando placed fifth and sixth, respectively, with three-round scores of 251 and 254, while Richmond Hill’s Tae Won Kim scored a three-stroke win over his nearest competitor, with a final score of 242.
