Police have identified two men, including one from Mississauga, who were shot to death in Peel last night.
At 11:50 p.m., Peel Regional Police received a call that shots had been fired at an apartment building on 7170 Darcel Ave., northwest of Derry Rd. E. and Hwy. 427 in Malton. When they arrived, they found Orrin Marlon Earle, 28, of Mississauga, dead, with obvious signs of trauma.
Just half an hour earlier, Peel police had received a call that shots had been fired at a house party on Woodsend Run in neighbouring Brampton, northeast of Mavis Rd. and Hwy. 407. Const. J. P. Valade said when police arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Glenford Asan Reid, 31, had no vital signs and was pronounced dead at the scene, Valade said. The second victim, a 37-year-old Toronto man, had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, he continued.
Valade said there is no information on possible suspects available at this time. They are not sure how many suspects police are searching for.
He also emphasized that police are not alleging these two shootings are related at this time.
These two murders are the 13th and 14th in Peel in 2008.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Peel Regional Police Homicide Bureau at 905-453-2121, ext. 3205.
