A gunman fired at three men sitting outside an east Mississauga apartment complex last night, but missed.
Peel Regional Police say its fortunate that no one was injured in the shooting, which occurred just after 9 p.m. on Bough Beeches Blvd.
Two men were sitting on the curb, while a third friend was seated in his car when a man walked up "and began shooting bullets," in their direction, according to Peel Cst. Wayne Patterson.
The gunman then fled the scene in a black SUV with tinted windows and was last seeing going west on Burnhamthorpe Rd.
Patterson said the three men, aged 29, 27 and 22, have been cooperating with investigators and provided them with helpful information.
"But we're still not exactly sure what the motive is in this case," he said. "We're actively investigating why these people were targeted."
The gunman is described as male, black, with a slim build, braided hair, wearing a white t-shirt, blue baseball cap and dark, loose-fit jeans.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 905-453-2121, ext. 1233.
