Mississauga-based light-steel frame manufacturer Genesis Worldwide Inc. has won a new contract for development of 30 villa homes in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the National Arab Emirates.
The company said in a press release that it is, "pleased to announce the signing of a significant construction contract by its UAE licensee, Manazil Steel Framing Factory.
"This is tremendous news for both Manazil and Genesis," said company President and CEO Vince Mifsud. "This project is an indicator that Manazil is beginning to tap into a very lucrative UAE market," Mifsud said. "Manazil's success in winning the Naser Alnwais development further signifies that the Genesis system is gaining acceptance in an area with strong future growth potential."
Genesis develops and licenses structural building technology for residential, commercial and institutional markets. The company says its products are environmentally superior because they use recycled light-steel rather than traditional softwoodlumber, concrete and masonry block construction.
The company's corporate headquarters is at 2430 Meadowpine Blvd.
